These are images that I took that night from Troutman NC. My then wife and I were in Asheville NC for a seminar that weekend. It was cloudy and had been raining some off and on. But back in Troutman, 2 hours away it was clearing. I told my wife that we should just head on home because it was just going to rain more there. She said no, and two hours later she was mad and we were heading towards Troutman. As I got closer to home the sky was clearing enough to see the blood red color of the aurora. She went to bed and I witnessed one of the most incredible things I had ever seen..............
