Details:
On two very rare clear afternoons in June, I was able to view and image our sister planet against a blue background sky. Venus was easy to see visually through the finder scope with the help of a Go-To mount. Using a Celestron EDGE HD C9.25 and a ZWO ASI290mm camera equipped with a LP610 and UV filters, my goal of detecting the cloud discontinuity may have fallen short, but I may have teased out some subtle cloud details. Both days though clear experienced winds and turbulent seeing.
