The almost half-illuminated First Quarter Moon was photographed setting behind the summit of Murahwa Mountain between 11.27 and 11.30 pm on 6th July and the images obtained were used to prepare the accompanying time-lapse animation and mosaics. The final composite image shows the Moon setting at 11.28 pm merged with a view of the same location taken at sunset the next day. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in manual exposure mode.
