Details:
Midnight sunlight at 52 degrees latitude. The nights around the summer solstice do not get more completely dark. Dusk runs through the north from evening twilight to dawn. Clouds stand out dark against the deepest light. The clouds are lightened by distant city lights. I made the photograph in the depths of the night when sun was 14 degrees below the horizon. The far bright star is Capella.
