Details:
Almost daily vivid volcanic sunsets in Mutare are often being followed by the appearance of late reflections of colour (reflected dusking) along the opposite horizon. Half an hour after sunset on 14th June the Full Moon and was photographed rising in reflected volcanic sunset tinted sky to the east-south-east of Mutare. The anti-sunset twilight glow is being caused by scattering of light from evenly distributed stratospheric aerosols derived from the January eruption of the Hunga-Tonga volcano. Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
