Details:
Most images of Mercury's tail use a sodium passband filter to increase the contrast but the sky was so transparent at this altitude that this was not necessary here. This enabled me to get a single unfiltered image which shows the yellow tail and the blue reflection nebulosity around the Pleiades. Date: 2022-04-29 21:01 UTC Exposure: 27x20s, ISO 800 Equipment: WO Megrez 72mm, f/6 refractor, Sony A7s camera Location: La Palma, altitude 1100m.
