Details:
From Aldebaran to the Seven Sisters
evening visibility is coming to an end these days. Finally, one could follow very nicely how the messenger of the gods passed just one degree southeast of the open star cluster of the Pleiades. On the day of this recording, the evening of May 2, 2022, the 1.8-day-old Crescent Moon joined them. It traveled another 2.5 degrees southeast of Mercury. Also visible is Aldebaran, the main star of the constellation Taurus, as well as some members of the Hyades open star cluster. The Pleiades, Mercury, the Moon and Aldebaran form an almost horizontal line. The picture was taken over a landscape in the Saargau near the municipality of Körrig in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
