Saturday evening 04/29 at McDonald Obs. VC/IDS Dark Skies Festival had very clear skies and the Sunset West view showed Mercury (the Messenger) in the fov of the Pleiades (M45) star cluster in TAU. SkyXPro chart shows the fov. Following morning 04/30 Jupiter w/3 moons, GIC was in close 1/2d conjunction with the bright morning star Venus in the Eastern sky. Chart shows the fov.
