Details:
Here is a x35 speed time-lapse of Mercury setting at 6.15 pm, 22 minutes after it first appeared in the spectacular volcanic sunset on 24th April. Clear skies provided an uninterrupted view of the planet disappearing behind the foot of the southern slope of Transmitter Hill a quarter-of-an-hour after the remnants of the brightly coloured crepuscular rays in which the planet first became visible had faded. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in night scenery mode.
