Details:
After years of using my old iPhone 6s for solar and lunar imaging, finally upgraded to the far superior resolution of iPhone 12s. Got rid of those pesky Newton's rings (must have been an internal element in the 6s lens creating the interference in monochromatic light) and images much sharper! Visible (blue with Baader ND5) .5X telecompressor, 12 mm Plossl, iPhone 12s. Red hydrogen alpha with Lunt 60, B 1200 diagonal, 12 mm Plossl, iPhone 12s. AR 2975 is at top right, about to go over NW limb this weekend (expect great prominences on limb!), while AR 2978 at lower left is approaching the center of disk and facing us in next three days...more CMEs and aurorae in the solar wind?
