Details:
Today morning, I got this beautiful portrait of our star. We can see in the northern hemisphere the active regions AR2976 and AR2975 that have erupted several times in the last few days. In the southern hemisphere we see the active region AR2978, which is quite complex. Nearby we find an impressive filament that has a length of about 200,000 km.
In the southeastern limb a gigantic prominence rises above the surface of the sun whose shape resembles two gigantic trees with their tops joined.
To take this picture I used a Coronado Solarmax II 90mm aperture solar telescope and a ZWO 183MM camera.
The disc image is inverted to bring out details.
