See what the James Webb Telescope is seeing! The new Webb Space Telescope is pointing at the star HD 84406 to align its 18 mirrors. The star HD 84406 is located in the constellation Ursa Major. Look to the northeast after sunset to see Ursa Major standing on end. Look up, way up to see HD 84406 above the bucket shape of the Big Dipper. A pair of binoculars will help to see this faint star which is located 242 light years from Earth, just below naked eye visibility which.
