Details:
Early on Valentine’s Day there was a magnificent volcanic sunrise to the east of Mutare with the three planets Venus, Mars and Mercury visible above the first aerosol glow. This quickly brightened with only Venus remaining visible for about twenty minutes in the ensuing strongly coloured sunrise twilight arch. The accompanying pictures were taken between 4.43 and 5.20 am from the back and front gardens of my residence on Murambi Heights. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
