Details:
Both the clouds and the colours were moving and changing rapidly. The first photo was taken at 7.56pm AEDT; the sky was a vivid mauve. By 7.58pm the sky had clouded over, but OMG! The entire sky was ablaze with bright orange! I imagine this to be how the sky would appear from the surface of Venus! The final two photos were taken at 8.17pm. Even during astronomical twilight, the western sky was still aglow. Even the sky surrounding the moon to the northeast was lit with an eerie opaque orange. Photos taken with my iPhone.
