Details:
Gradually the rays disappeared, leaving a single shaft of pink light directly above the position of the sun. The final photo was taken facing NNW, again showing the extent of the spectacular colouration. I was hoping to view tonight's sunset from a nearby hilltop reserve, but unfortunately the wet season rains have now returned :-( All photos taken with my iPhone.
