Object/Date: 19P/Borrelly @ 2021 January 5, 11:39 UT Description: Comet 19P/Borrelly imaged on January 5, 2022, at the midpoint between its closest approach to Earth and its perihelion, here had a brightness at magnitude 9 and only observable photographically a very short dust tail immersed in the coma atmosphere and an ion tail with several longer but very faint jets to antisunward direction toward the upper right (only detectable in the monochrome version of this image).
