It is 10 years to the day that I was amongst 8 lucky aurora hunters that came together from around the world to join Lights Over Lapland's first aurora tour in Abisko Sweden. We saw auroras that you could not imagine in your wildest dreams and the whole experience was spectacular and life changing. Our leader and co-founder of Lights Over Lapland Chad Blakley was also so moved by the experience that he made us all a promise that he would arrange for us to meet again in 10 years' time. True to his word, Chad made that happen and here we are, 10 years on! The magic is just as breathtaking and we all feel truly blessed by what we saw then and what we saw today and the close bond between us all. It seems only fitting to post a portrait to honour the great man himself with auroras dancing above him. Thank you so much Chad! Nikon D5 DSLR, 24mm f1.4 lens, 1 second, ISO 2500.
