Details:
We were already excited a few hours ago when the Bz dipped to -16nT and the solar wind density above 40 p/cm3, so we quickly drove away from Kiruna to be treated with a 3-hour long, insane display of brilliant, multicoloured and fast moving lights. It filled the skies up until the early hours of 9 Jan. Even a sub-1 sec exposure was too slow to capture the lights. There was a bit of low cloud but no problem for such a strong display!
