Comet Leonard is visible in the evening afterglow. It is at perihelion today and will start its journey out of the solar system. Comet Leonard, which became the "Christmas comet" in the southern hemisphere, has had several outbursts since then and is now showing several long tails in the afterglow at very low altitudes, even in Japan. Good-bye to the far side of the universe.
