Details:
Today the sky began to clear just after noon, at 3 p.m. (local time), I decided to try my luck and capture the solar activity, despite the intense heat of the beginning of the southern summer and the turbulence of the atmosphere. After several attempts, the seeing improved for a few seconds and allowed me to take this picture at the calcium wavelength (CaK). The show was impressive, I had never seen so many active regions at the same time on the solar disk, since I started doing solar photography. Eight active regions and two more, not yet cataloged, were easily visible. Without a doubt, the new solar cycle is gaining strength and wants to end 2021 in a big way. To take this picture I used a Sky Watcher Esprit 120 telescope, a Lunt Cak B1800 calcium module, and a QHY 163M camera.
