Details:
Tonight was my night much better conditions and the comet cooperated. Comet Leonard had a significant outburst on December 19th that continues into December 20th. This image shows the bright nucleus and coma streaming off. The green color of the nucleus was easily discerned during capture. This image is the result of a stack of 35 x 4 sec with a Vixen VSD astrograph and a Nikon Z7II. The images were stacked with Astropixelprocessor, stretched, and then ported to Photoshop for final adjustments. Although there is significant haze in Tucson this image resulted from a brief period of better seeing.
