Details:
Bright Venus and comet Leonard in the evening sky: 3.5 degrees above the horizon. Angular distance to the sun: 25 degrees. Sun below the horizon: 10 degrees. Brightness of the comet? Visually with 7 x 42 binoculars I could not detect Leonard despite intensive search. Anyway, it was a nice success for me to have at least detected the comet under these difficult conditions.
