Details:
At last comet Leonard appeared also in the southern sky. It is still very low on the horizon and pretty faint. It is barely visible (with a little imagination) with the naked eye but it is easy to spot with a small binoculars. This image is a composition: the wide field view with a 100 mm lens and 2 seconds exposure and in the insert a photo taken with a Newtonian 130 mm and ASI 2600MC camera (21X30 seconds) that shows the huge coma and the twisted tail of the comet. In the next days Leonard will gain altitude in the southern sky, so let's hope to a better show.
