Comet C/2021 A1 (Leonard) is magnitude 6.2 and 31 million miles from Earth in this gif animation. The gif is composed of 25 images each 20 seconds long, covering 18 minutes in the life of the comet. No special processing was done to any of the images. The images were collected with an 11" SCT and STF-8300M CCD camera. The single image shows the magnitude calculation using Astrometrica.
