This is a 25 image gif animation of Comet C/2021 A1 (Leonard) with each image 45 seconds long. The gif field of view is only 0.4 by 0.4 degrees, the comet coma is at least 0.5 degrees wide so most of the white that you see in this animation is the comet's coma. The gif shows what is near the center of the comet's coma. The comet's tail extends well beyond the field of view of this gif. The images were collected with an 11" SCT f/6.4 and STF-8300M CCD camera.
