Ok, I think that the CME solar wind from a couple of days ago is gone but somehow we're still in quite a good stream of solar wind.
Steady negative Bz for a while and boom, pretty auroras in the southern half of the sky!
It was cloudier than I'd wish, but with such strong lights, it didn't really spoil the show.
It looks like we have a micro climate here at the cottages in Utsjoki, being again one of the only clear areas in northern Lapland and able to see the northern lights!
