Details:
This gif of Comet C/2021 A1 (Leonard) covers 3.5 hours of the comet's life from the time it rises over the Catalina Mountains until morning twilight. The 60% Moon, clouds and low altitude haze when the comet first appeared over the mountains all tried to mask this comet's appearance thus you will see the comet slowly brighten as it rises in altitude and then some fluctuation as the Moon and clouds interact with the gif images. The added images show the comet's magnitude and a few color images with clouds making for some color in the images.
