Details:
Images of the Aurora were captured from my backyard east of Hamilton, MT. I used an f/2.8 Rokinon fish-eye lens mounted on a Sony A6000 DSLR set at ISO 1600 - 15 second exposures. The colors were amazing - green, yellow, orange, red, and even some blue-purple higher up with beams of light penetrating the lit-up area on the northern horizon. If you look at the images closely you can see the Big Dipper standing up proud on its handle to the right in the images. All images shot around 4:30am MDT Nov 4th.
