Here is an HAlpha image of the sun on Nov 1. Note the long disconnected prominence on the 11 o clock position. There are also a lot of active regions.
This image was taken using a Coronado Solarmax SM60 on a Stellarvue SV70ED refractor. A QHY183M camera was used to capture this image.
