Details:
While waiting the CME G3 storm to arrive I was playing with the cameras and doing few compositions. Noticed the Milky Way moved closer to green band which was crossing the sky from east to west, and I just started to do some test shots. After taking few, I noticed something to the end of the west limb of the green band. I cracked the ISO to 6400 and even to 8000 and noticed at first, a Red Sar Arc. Probably is the Proton Arc or Steve after all. I was photograpic Steve countless of time but in this situation due to the absence of picket fence or even the purple color which Steve has, it’s a bit tricky in this situation to make a claim but regardless was something neat which filled up my time while waiting. Looking closely to the pictures from both cameras was definitely very faint and elusive and definitely no visible to the naked eye. On the second camera, the astromod one, I was able to pick up more red on the Proton Arc.
