On the night of September 19/20, 2021 the seeing was fairly steady for Southeastern Pennsylvania skies. Using a Celestron EDGE C925 SCT and a ZWO ASI290mm camera, I grabbed some captures of Jupiter looming only 30 degrees above the Southern Horizon. At -2.34 magnitude and 414 million miles distant, I was lucky and stumbled onto a moon & shadow transit of Europa. Due to unanticipated limited space on my laptop, the RGB channels were recorded at a low frame rate and I was only able to record 500 frames/channel. This image is actually an LRGB where the Luminance was recorded through a Long Pass Near IR610 filter at a much higher frame rate. I have always had so many difficulties in obtaining a decent image of Earth’s Big Brother.
