Details:
The 2021 Southern Hemisphere Spring Equinox was at 19.21 UTC (21.21 pm in Mutare) on Wednesday 22nd September. Unfortunately persistent overcast after morning rain prevented the Sun from being observed for most of that day but it briefly appeared through a gap in cloud above Murahwa Mountain 10 minutes before it would otherwise have set (first picture). However clear skies the following day provided an uninterrupted view of the Sun setting as shown in the x50 speed time-lapse animation and still images. Cameras: Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40’s in sunset mode.
