Details:
I decided to venture out even though the data was not looking to promising it was a long wait and around 0630 UTC the bottom dropped out of the Bz, and by 0845 an aurora band had formed and then the aurora danced 30-40 degrees above the Northern horizon, as quickly as it arrived it dissipated and I decided that STEVE always shows up after the party so I swung my cameras West, and cranked the ISO, lo and behold there was the oddest arc that I have seen. Is it STEVE or is it an SAR arc, you be the judge.
