Details:
Close to Active Region 12847 on the south-east limb an active solar prominence was putting on a fantastic display. Here it is, presented as an animation of 32 frames, imaged over 17 minutes real time starting at 07:30 UT from my driveway here in the UK. It was fascinating to watch how this feature slowly developed and shape-shifted in real time on my monitor, but the animation really brings the movements to life.
