Details:
Always worth an early rise in La Parva Chile (2,700m). A certain configuration of clouds over Chile and cloudlessness in Argentina around the winter solstice, produces this spectacle at dawn. I believe it is the shadow of the Nevado del Plomo massif (6,100m) on the Continental Divide. Thoughts anyone?
