Details:
Yesterday, Saturday, June 26, 2021, was a good day for the International Space Station. Yesterday morning, the International Space Station passed by Jupiter and at noon, the International Space Station passed in front of the Sun. Adjusting astronomical instruments is one of the conditions for success in such observations.
In both passes yesterday, the distance from the station to the place of photography was short, in the first one it was about 520 km and in the second one you can see in the picture above, it was 438 km away from the station.
The International Space Station is the largest man-made structure in space in dimensions of 172 by 72 by 45 meters, which was placed in orbit with the participation of 16 countries, its average speed is 27,600 kilometers per hour and about 16 times a day. It spins around the earth (about once every 90 minutes).
The first part of this station was launched into orbit on November 20, 1998, and it was completed in space and its equipment was transferred to space with 42 flights, and it lasted more than two years.
Weighing more than 400 tons, the station provides an area of 1,200 square meters for astronauts to research and live.
The solar arrays you see in the picture above are 109 meters long.
