Details:
A wider view of the Total Lunar Eclipse - backlit with the core of the Milky Way (which was only visible for a few brief moments as the moon became mostly dark). The faint details of the Milky Way were also visible to the naked eye although the camera was clearly capable of capturing more color than our eyes could see. Very cold (my hot chocolate became an iced chocolate as it sat in the car waiting for me). Shot from the Bellbird lookout at Kurrajong NSW, in the Sydney Blue Mountains. . Taken as a JPEG, shot with the relatively new Canon EOS R6 + Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM lens on a Manfrotto tripod. Cropped to eliminate some light falloff around the corners (typical of this lens). 8 Sec exposure with ISO 2500 with f/2 at 24mm.
