What an amazing view it was, watching on my monitor as AR2824 suddenly burst into a spectacular flare. This was the strongest flare I have captured to date. Image processed from a short video taken through a 70mm refractor (f/25.2), ASI 178MM camera and a DayStar Quark Chromosphere filter. Seeing was poor (turbulent atmosphere).
