Details:
On 5-17-21 I imaged from my Manorville NY backyard. The ISS was in bad seeing weather. at an altitude of only 36° and over a heavy tree line with atmospheric disturbance . So that is why the ISS looks bad. I normally would very image ISS at that low of a pass. What caught my interest was the brightness magnitude of that low pass was -3.2. I got to thinking about the time of this pass must have something more to do with such a high magnitude. The answer was the ISS was pass my backyards tworld the Sun. The ISS alway turns its Large Solar Arrays to the Sun. I knew it was going to be a COOL light show. So at 03:59:27 am EST I stood at the ready. waiting with my 14" telescope. The ISS and Sun show on the Large Solar Arrays did not let me down. I am happy to share this with you. I hope you like my images.
