Details:
As Mercury has moved away from the glare of sunset and sets later, it has become clearly visible in the twilight sky. The accompanying time-lapse animation and mosaics show it setting on Wednesday evening behind an unusual weather beaten Musasa tree situated on a break in the southern slope of Transmitter Hill. This has been nicknamed the ‘Solstice Tree’ because the Sun sets close to it for several days around the June solstice. Pareidolia in the shape of the 'Solstice Tree' and the bush (which looks like a little dog) below it. The final time-lapse shows the complete descent of Mercury from when it first became visible near the summit of Transmitter Hill until it set at the foot of the slope. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS40 in sunset mode with up to x60 optical zoom magnification.
