Mercury and the Pleiades are shown within 5 minutes of setting. Any earlier and the Pleiades couldn't yet be pulled from the sunset sky.

The 2nd photo expands the horizon view to the left to include Taurus the Bull's brightest star Aldebaran and the V-shaped Hyades star cluster.
