Details:
We are approaching the maximum of the Eta aquarids on May 6th. Wonderful echoes can already be seen in the GRAVES radar on 143.050 MHz. Long tails, strong center. I have completely upgraded my technology for the maximum via radio astronomy. For the echo shown here at 12:52:55 UT, I only used my small 4-element self-made yagi on my antenna mast. The 9-element long yagi is then used for the maximum. As a licensed radio amateur you can combine both hobbies ingeniously. Yagi antennas for the 144-146 MHz amateur radio band also work with almost no loss on 143 MHz, where GRAVES works. I will definitely stay on standby for the next few days!
