Details:
On Monday evening the almost Full Supermoon was observed rising into a pink Belt of Venus above a hill in Cecil Kop Nature reserve between 5.32 and 5.38 pm. The accompanying views taken from the eastern end of Murambi Heights have taken advantage of the fact that the day before Full Moon it often rises in daylight at about the same time as the Sun is setting on the opposite horizon. If conditions are right for the development of a Belt of Venus this adds a colorful backdrop. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS40 in sunset mode with x60 zoom magnification.
