Ok, this time this must be the end of the Aurora season here in Utsjoki at 70°N. The Auroras were barely visible against the twilight (and it didn't help that the activity was not that strong tonight). Tonight I traveled a short distance to the small village of Nuorgam in the Utsjoki municipality, to have a clear view on the horizon because I really wanted to capture the combination of the orange glow of sunset/sunrise together with the Auroras, and apparently, mission accomplished! Right, so unless we get a crazy display the next night, this was it for me for this season! Next chance for Auroras: 26 August! In the meantime, we will enjoy the mighty Midnight Sun and hopefully some nice atmospheric optics!
