Details:
Tonight here at 70°N, the sun didn't dip further than 11° under the horizon. Our nights are not getting dark anymore, and officially in 3-4 days, it will not be possible to see even the brightest northern lights.
Tonight we got lucky with a sustained negative Bz for quite a long time, and as almost always, the auroras came out with a pretty bright display! And they won the battle against the twilight!
It has been an incredible season up here aurora-wise (less so with the absence of tourists due to the ongoing pandemic). But we have been able to stream the auroras live to the world, so people have been able to enjoy the beautiful northern lights live!
I will keep an eye on the sky in the next couple of nights, but otherwise see you again in late August!
