Object/Date: C/2020 T2 (Palomar) @ 2021 March 18, 11:04 UT Description: Comet C/2020 T2 (Palomar) imaged on March 18, 2021. My first image of this comet, currently at magnitude 12 and which could reach magnitude 10 next July. The image shows a coma with an angular size of 40 arcseconds with a well-defined central condensation, and a fan-shaped tail with an angle between the anti-sunward and anti-orbital direction with a length of about 2 arcminutes. Although its coma is mainly dusty, it has a certain greenish hue that could indicate a soon formation of a larger and gassy external coma that already seems sensed in the color image.
