Details:
The Autumn Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere fell at 09.37 UTC (11.37 am in Mutare) on Saturday 20th March 2021. Photographs taken from my location in Murambi East show that the Sun setting on 19th March at 5.46 pm (18 hours before equinox) disappeared behind the summit of Murahwa Mountain in exactly the same place as the Very Thin Young Moon (18 hours after new) did at 6.42 pm on 14th of March! Although no special significance can be attached to this, it is an amazing coincidence! Camera: Hand-held and tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS40 in sunset mode. This is a modified version of my earlier post which presented with excessive image grain.
