Once again it was drive out to Kananaskis Country, as my cloud app showed an opening off of Highway 16. I arrived at my site at 0400 hrs UTC and was up and shooting the aurora 6 minutes later, as I was setting up the sky literally exploded over me with a gyrating green ribbon of colour, and 10 minutes later at 0416 it had subsided to a normal aurora band. In the image Pleiades and Mars can be seen on the left of the Image just think that's almost due West. The aurora stayed relatively active behind the clouds as every once in awhile a bit of green could be seen. At approximately 1000hrs UTC the show got going with pillars and what I believe is the Picket Fence, not 100 percent certain but I think the blobs are
