Details:
For well over a week Earth's geomagnetic environment has been unsettled. This is shown in my plot of geomagnetic activity captured on my backyard magnetometer here in the UK. The ebb and flow of the solar wind is clear to see as pulses of fast flowing plasma from a large coronal hole swept past our planet.
