Details:
On Wednesday evening as the Sun was setting behind a cumulus cloud, a Sundog appeared near the trailing end of a broad anvil that had developed above it. The Sundog, which was unusually bright, was red on the inner sunward facing edge and yellow on its outer side and appeared to be perched just above a band of dark cloud which formed an extension to the anvil. It was at the same level and 22 degrees to the left of the Sun which was low in the sky and remained concealed behind the main cumulus formation. Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS40 in sunset mode with up to x30 zoom magnification.
